Two Weeks Vacation

What to do with two weeks off from school? Unload 20 tons of rebar, of course!!
Our young brothers came everyday during their vacation to unload this container of rebar, used in our beams, walls and roof here in Pohnpei.
The rest is being shipped to Kosrae.

How the Truth Unites Families

Sinleen, with her new baby, Joshua (number 11) live in Saipan. We met her while we were working on the Kingdom Hall renovation there. She is from Pohnpei. We asked if she'd like for us to visit her family. She wanted us to tell them about what she has been learning in her Bible study.
The first Sunday we were here in Pohnpei a sister drove us all over Palikir to find her parents, Leon and Senio. They were so thrilled to hear news of their daughter, they dropped what they were doing, got their Bibles and we had a nice discussion in Ponapean and English. They have been studying regularly since then.
Neither have a working phone, so friends of ours in Saipan sent photos to share with Leon and Senio and we've sent photos to share with Sinleen. They will be finding out they have a new grandbaby tomorrow!

The Couple that Lays Block Together...

Meet Dave and Leona. They laid much of the block in the new Kingdom Hall and trained others to do it too.
They are among the 'need greater' couples that have moved to Pohnpei.

Meanwhile....

While their parents were working on the Kingdom Hall, several of the kids went in field service and then waited patiently to see the roof finished. They helped close the gate at the end of the day.

Getting Concrete to the Roof--Part 2

On the other side of the Kingdom Hall, concrete was being mixed, shoveled into buckets and passed by hand to the roof, emptied into a wheelbarrow and dumped on the roof. Amazing!

Getting Concrete to the Roof-Part 1

One one side of the building, a crew mixed concrete, dumped it into a bucket attached to a crane, and then it was hoisted to the roof and emptied. The crane operator asked for a wake up 'call' of a knock on his door.
