Eziquiel

Eziquiel lives in a rural part of our territory, Yona (Jonya). Most cars can't go up the road to his house, so we park at the bottom and hike up the hill. Eziquiel was happy to find out God's name is Jehovah today.

Getting Reaquainted

John has been happy to see Roque and his son Jadon. He studied a year ago and is now able to study again.

Turn at the Carabao

Local area landmark....Carabao---Micronesian Waterbuffalo...except, they don't have red eyes, aren't gray or 15 feet tall. Other than that, it looks just like one!

Pohnpei in Guam

Kaselehlie Julia! Julia grew up in Pohnpei. She is the sister of a young woman that Kaylene has been studying with. Julia asked for a Bible study this week.

Julia went to school with Audrey, one of the sisters that we met in Pohnpei. She knew most of the congregation in Pohnpei before they became Witnesses. She was so pleased to hear about her old acquaintences.

Maybe I will get to use my only real theocratic Ponapean sentence...Me melahr akan sohte ese mehkot...The dead don't know anything.

Tsunami

We survived our 6.75 inch tsunami!

The Girls

Mandy and Megan visiting with a young mother they hadn't been able to find home for a while. I love going in service with them and their mother, Kym, so I should be able to get a photo of their faces one day soon!

Familiar Faces

We have been so happy to see our friends in Guam again. This is Nozomi. She is learning Chuukese and is helping out the Chuukese group. (I lost count on how many languages she knows, but I am very happy she speaks English!)
Her skirt speaks Ponapean. Each island has a distinctive style of skirt that I have yet to identify, but women from each island know where a skirt is from a mile away.

Not Now Kato!

Kato is three. He and his parents are visiting from Japan. Isn't he a cutie pie!

Sascha

Sascha is nine. This was her third talk in our congregation. (Her householder is Laurie. She and her husband have been at Guam Bethel for many years.) It was about the penalty for sin. Everyone clapped. Yes, it was that good!
She and her family moved her to help out our congregation. We are glad to be with them again.
