Beating the Heat

It's been about a thousand degrees this summer. So the boys play outside at dusk when it's only 85 or 90.

Jet Lag

We've been in Oklahoma for the past week. Since there is a 15 hour time difference between home and Oklahoma, staying awake during the day can present a challenge. With a little help from Dylan (on top) and Isaac, John had no trouble staying up.

Our Reasons for Joy...

Last weekend we had our district convention in Guam. Delegates, including missionaries, from other islands of Micronesia attended. Sisters from Palau, Pohnpei, Saipan, the Marshall Islands, Yap and Guam are in these photos. We had a peak attendance of 1282 on Sunday morning. Twenty were baptized on Saturday!

Many were invited to attend. During the three days of the convention, 28 different Bible students and interested ones attended with us. On Sunday, 24 came with us. A few of them had never been to any gathering of Jehovah's Witnesses and several have only agreed to study. We enjoy the conventions so much, but being with persons who've never been and seeing their appreciation for this gift is an experience we want to continue to enjoy!
