Luisa and Megan

Ms. Luisa is almost 79 years old (as she reminds us frequently). She has found that Megan answers her questions from the Bible. Today was no different. Many of these questions are raised because of what others say around her. Today, she wanted to know about 'God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.' Megan read John 14:28. It was quite clear to her that the son and father could not be equal, much less the same person. No further explanation was needed.
Some visits ago, Megan and Luisa discussed the condition of those who've died and the hope of resurrection. Her husband died about 20 years ago. Today, she wanted to know if he would know her and she would know him. After reading John 11 about Lazarus, she was relieved and is now looking forward to seeing him again.
During our visit, she also began to tell us about her life as a young girl during the Japanese occupation of Guam. It was the first time I heard anyone give a graphic firsthand account of life during that time. This extreme hardship has not dampened her enthusiasm for life and learning. Megan and I are hoping to know her forever.
