Birds are not plentiful on Guam. There are no wild parrots, so Sonny Boy is quite a celebrity. He is very friendly and enjoys all the love we can give him.
He is a pet, but tries to make a break for it sometimes! While we study, he makes sounds like the radio from his perch or happily sits at the table with us making conversation.
Dear Emily, Sonny Boy is an Electus parrot and he is magnificent!!!!! If he needs a mate she will be red and purple with a black beak. I marvel at Jehovah's wondrous works. Rebekah the bird lady.
Hey Bekah, I thought of you immediately when we saw Sonny Boy! When he is out, no one can take their eyes off of him. He is very special. As for a mate, he is enamored of the red bird of paradise in the backyard!
