Sometimes, It Takes Us A While.....

In the second photo, you'll notice a house in the background. John has a Bible student that lives there. He drives by a duplex on the same driveway to get to the student's home. A few weeks ago, we noticed a young man reading a very large book. We thought that maybe it was a Ponapean or Chuukese Bible, but didn't have time to stop to see. The next day, we went to pick up John's Bible student for the meeting. The young man was out there reading again. We were told the family is from Pohnpei. We couldn't stop to speak with him because we were on the way to the meeting. The next day, John and I went to his student's home. The young man was outside reading again. We approached him and asked if he enjoyed reading the Bible and if he found it hard to understand sometimes. He said yes, eagerly accepted a Bible study and has been studying regularly. The angels were probably relieved that we finally got the message!
While we were visiting with Gerald, his grandmother, Ermina stepped out and asked if we were Jehovah's Witnesses. We said yes. She burst into tears. A dear sister in Pohnpei, Ampelina, and Ermina's mother are sisters. Ampelina had shared some of the Bible's truth with Ermina. She was hoping to meet some Witnesses while she was visiting Guam. She returned to Pohnpei earlier this month with her very own copy of the Bible Teach book in her own language.
