Our Youngest Students

One day, we gave Natalee her own copy of the Watchtower with the pages for young children in it. She was supposed to keep it safe until we returned. When we came back, the outside of the magazine was a disaster, but the pages that she was going to study were in perfect shape! Natalee is the one in the photo with the little puzzle. It may appear that she is not paying attention, but she participated the whole time. Her cousin, Matches, who just turned four years old, was completely enjoying himself.
These first language of these children is Chuukese. They speak a little English, like hello, good-bye and they have all tried out my name. So, I started the study and Tim, who is about 12, translated. We reviewd the two pages twice. Then, as you can see in the photo below, Tim conducted the study on his own. We had such a great time making animal noises--no matter the language, it's always good for a laugh!
